We accredit testing laboratories to verify they produce accurate, repeatable, and technically valid test results through qualified personnel, appropriate methods, and controlled processes.
The Alliance For International Accreditation (AIA) provides accreditation for testing laboratories based on ISO/IEC 17025 the international standard that specifies general requirements for the competence to carry out testing and/or calibration, including sampling.
ISO/IEC 17025 covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods, and it is applicable to laboratories regardless of the number of personnel or the breadth of the testing/calibration scope.
AIA accreditation strengthens confidence that laboratory results are technically valid, consistent, and reliable supporting regulators, buyers, industries, and the public who depend on trustworthy data.
