The Alliance For International Accreditation (AIA) is a global accreditation body, headquartered in New York. We assess organizations against nationally and internationally recognized standards and accredit those that provide conformity assessment services, including certification, testing, inspection, calibration, validation, and verification.
Accreditation by AIA demonstrates the competence, impartiality, and performance capability of these evaluators—helping ensure confidence in the results and decisions they deliver. In short, AIA “checks the checkers.”
Through our participation in international cooperation and recognition activities, AIA supports broader acceptance of accredited services and helps reduce the need for multiple assessments. This can minimize duplication, improve efficiency across supply chains, and reduce barriers for organizations that rely on accredited services in global markets.
