Accreditation Fees

Introduction

The Alliance For International Accreditation (AIA) applies a transparent, proportional, and internationally competitive accreditation fee structure. Our fee model is aligned with the practices commonly implemented by recognized accreditation bodies.

Fees are determined based on the scope of accreditation, scheme complexity, number of assessment days (mandays), and the geographical location of assessment activities.

Accreditation Fee Structure

AIA accreditation fees consist of the following main components:

1. Application Fee

This fee is charged once at the time of initial accreditation application or scope extension.

The Application Fee covers:

  • Initial document review
  • Scope evaluation
  • Assignment of assessment team

The Application Fee is non-refundable.

2. Assessment Fee

The Assessment Fee is calculated based on the required number of assessment days (mandays), which depends on:

  • Accreditation scheme
  • Organizational complexity
  • Number of auditors and technical experts
  • Operational locations

The Assessment Fee includes:

  • Document Review Assessment
  • On-site Assessment
  • Witness Assessment (if required)
  • Assessment reporting
3. Annual Accreditation Fee

An annual fee is required to maintain accreditation status. This fee covers:

  • Annual surveillance assessment

  • Use of AIA accreditation symbol and logo
  • Updates on regulatory and scheme requirements
4. Re-Accreditation Fee

Re-accreditation is conducted at the end of each accreditation cycle (typically 4–5 years) and involves a comprehensive reassessment.

The fee is determined based on:

  • Full scope reassessment
  • Performance history during the previous cycle
  • Required witness assessments
5. Additional Fees
