Overview

Quality Management System certification is delivered by certification bodies (CBs) to organizations whose management systems meet the requirements of the ISO 9000 family of standards. ISO 9001 is an international standard that defines an organization’s quality management system. Its objective is to provide a set of requirements that, when effectively implemented, gives confidence that the goods and services supplied by the organization consistently meet customer needs and expectations and comply with applicable regulations.

A Conformity Assessment Bodies applying for ISO 9001 accreditation must conform to ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO 17021-3 and other additional International requirements as detailed in Specific Requirements for Accreditation for QMS Scheme.
